I had the honor of photographing my fiance's new adorable niece this past month(My future flower girl/niece!)
Andi had received these breath taking angel wings from her aunt Nancy to use in the session & I must say the photographs are so precious, I love all of them! Her other aunt Rita made an adorable hat just in time since baby Kendall had an early appearance, but mom & baby were both healthy!  I can't wait to photograph Kendall as she grows up in the next months & years!

I was honored to photograph Sarah & Alex's wedding in Humboldt at Oak Hill Church, my hometown & hometown church!
It was a perfect Fall day, as you never know how the weather will be this time of year, which was nice to get some great outdoor photographs.

I have gotten to know Jacki over this past year through her Younique business, I was excited to photograph her family in Ames around campus this Fall. It was a perfect day, I couldn't have asked for better weather! Her two children are so adorable & very entertaining, I loved this session! I had the honor of photographing Mike & Stacy's Fall Family Session in Ames. I have known Mike for a few years now as he is the Meat Market Manager at Fareway, so it was nice to finally put a face to his family. This is one busy family with sports, so I was able to make this a quick & easy session for the family. We had perfect weather, I could ask for better this time of year! Pilling Fall 2015 Session

I always enjoy photographing Nick, Jessica & their adorable dog Boston each year, sometimes twice a year :) We had perfect weather, I couldn't ask for a better day especially at Ledges! It is such a beautiful location & during the week it wasn't as busy.

I'm Getting Married! {Our Engagement Session}

 

 

Its not everyday I photograph myself, let alone edit photographs of myself! Thanks to a friend of mine, Dane & I were able to get a fall engagement session done at Ledges(Where he purposed in August). I set up the camera, positioned Dane & I, & left pushing the shutter button up to Michelle. I have enjoyed all of the wedding planning this far; from the venue to saying "yes" to the dress! I can't wait to say "I do" on September 10, 2016 to the guy who has always gone above & beyond for me! My dream wedding is finally happening at Okoboji, IA!

Alyssa & Jared's Engagement Sneak Peak

I had the honor of meeting & photographing Alyssa & Jared after only communicating via email since they are both living in another state.
They met while attending Iowa State, so we did the engagement session on campus which is so beautiful this time of year! We actually had a perfect day with perfect weather!
I enjoyed hearing how they met & how Jared purposed, they were defiantly a fun & outgoing couple & I can't wait to photograph their wedding May, 2016. Thanks again Alyssa & Jared for letting me photograph such a special time in your lives!

Nicholas "I do" Sneak Peak

 

I had the honor of photographing David & Jennifer's wedding at Toad Valley. I had never been to this location, but I must say it was an absolutely beautiful location for an outdoor wedding & photographing a wedding! I think I could have kept photographing these two all day there.
I feel like this was one of the first weddings I was able to get a lot more detail photographs(which I am in love with all of them). Jennifer had a gorgeous wedding gown with such amazing detail & beautiful flowers with succulents.
I can't say I have ever photographed a wedding before where the groomsmen come prepared with props, but I loved it! David had worn me at our meeting earlier that week, but it was a lot of fun & they were defiantly a fun group all together to photograph. I had a very difficult time choosing just a few images so enjoy & be sure to share with your friends and family! Congratulations again David & Jennifer, thanks for choosing me to photograph your beautiful wedding day!

Maxwell's Newborn Sneak Peak

Meet Maxwell!!This was the first newborn session I have had where the baby didn't want to sleep.It made it challenging however I still got some great photographs of him.  He is just so adorable & I can't wait to watch him grow as I photograph him in the future! Andi's Baby Bump

Andi asked if I would come to Cedar Falls to photograph her maternity session & I couldn't be more excited! It was a perfect day for some outdoor photographs & I am use to the area & wanted to get some great photographs by my favorite tree :)
Andi has a lot more patience than I do, I can't to find out if the baby is a boy or girl!! Congratulations Trent & Andi, you will make amazing parents!

Megan's Senior Sneak Peak

 

"Blue eyed girl!!" I loved photographing Megan around her farm/acreage in Denison, IA. We had great weather & a great locations to work with! I love photographing clients at their homes especially seniors. I have known Megan since she was a baby & I've enjoyed watching her grow to be a beautiful, talented young lady!

Mya's 1 Sneak Peak

 

Look who turned 1! Did Emily not find the cutest outfit for her 1st Birthday & she actually kept the hat on?! I have loved photographing Mya since she was a newborn. I am going to miss seeing her every 3 months, as I love watching children grow up & develop personalities.
It was defiantly a chilly August day but Mya did great outside, it was fun to photograph her by an old barn next to her home!

Lisa had such a cute idea for their "first look" which consisted of holding balloons in front of them & letting go of them at the same time, how cute is that?!
Can you tell it was raining when we took outside photographs before the ceremony?
First the weather was windy & raining, whereas in the afternoon after the ceremony it was hot, but I am so happy with the photographs I got, whether rain or extreme heat. Congratulations again Ben & Lisa!

These two tied the knot at the Des Moines Blank Park Zoo, how cool is that?!? I have never heard of anyone getting married at the zoo, it made for some really awesome photographs! After the ceremony it was like a private Zoo Brew which was fun for the guest and a great opportunity for me to get some more photographs of just the couple around the zoo!
It was defiantly a very warm day, but I loved all the amazing photographs I got throughout the day & it there was no rain(YAY!) Congratulations again Mike & Krystal!

I had such a blast photographing Emily & Quincy around Iowa State's Campus! They are such a cute couple with amazing chemistry that it made my job easy. We had perfect weather & Emily had picked out such great outfits, it made choosing only a couple photographs to share that I had to do a few more than normal :) Can't wait to photograph their wedding next October!

Maddie's Senior Sneak Peak

This was the other senior session that I had a calf make a presence, meet Maddie's calf Diesel! He was defiantly a lot larger than the dairy calf I had earlier in the day. Maddie is another outgoing & talented senior at Humboldt & I loved being able to photograph some of those talents/interests during her session. We were lucky with the weather since we were able to get the outdoor portion of the session done before the storms came through.
