B&W Fashion Photoshoot

I got the chance to make up my own assignment in my Adv. Portrait Class and wanted to use a good friend of mine who is in the Photography Program with me. I wanted to do b&w for an assignment one more time and decided I wanted to photograph Fashion. I asked Elle to bring a couple different outfits; one being a dress, and two jeans with a top. I also brought my own top that I wanted to try in a couple shots. I am very pleased with how the images turned out!! Elle will now have some more images for her modeling portfolio. Thanks Elle for modeling for me, it was a lot of fun and I love the images I got!

In Home Family Photography (The DeWinter's)

I had an assignment to photograph a famiy of at least 4 in their home using a mixture of natural light & strobes. I asked my cousin if I could photograph their family and had a great final print! The one thing I learned in this session is that when I counted I had to take the photograph on 2 instead of 3 cuz Darby would blink as soon as I said 3.
This is something I want to offer in my photography business to clients because it makes it more personal and matches their house. Thank you DeWinter's for letting me come into your home and photograph your family!

Senior Photography (Stephanie)

The time is quickly approaching for Senior Photographs! I had the pleasure to photograph a friend of mine for my Senior Assignment in my Advance Portrait Class. Steph did a great job modeling and I had a great time photographing her! Photographing Seniors is one my favorites type of Portrait Photography, the style is always changing and I can put my creativity into the images. Thanks Steph!

Sky & Abbey

I did a photoshoot for my Adv. Portrait Class that I got to make up myself. I wanted to do a photoshoot outside around Downtown Cedar Falls, IA with a couple. I asked Sky & Abbey to be my models. I know them through Prarie Lakes Church, and was so happy with how the "Date Session/Outdoor Couples" assignment went smoothly and the photos turned out AMAZING. They wore great clothing and posed perfectly for me. Thanks Sky & Abbey!

The simplicity of Love

I had the joy of photographing two friends from The River & Small Group for my Wedding Class. Every Friday we go to a church and do a photoshoo for about 2-3 hours in the morning; almost like the real deal, from formals at the alter to our own choices.
It was our groups first time having an actual couple that knew each other so it was a great time, and they did amazing! Kate thought it was strange how the school actually has bride's dresses and enjoyed every moment, where I think Austin was along for the ride and free panera Bread Bagel. Thanks you too, you did a great job!

Photographing A Pet

It was my first time ever photographing a pet in a studio environment. It was definatly a challenge but the outcome of the final product was worth it. Toey was a great cat to photograph in the studios! A few pointers while photographing a pet include: 1) You need to work quickly, because you only have about 15 minutes max 2) You need to show texture in the fur 3) You want the eyes, nose, & ears tact sharp.
