Goslar Wedding Sneak Peak

I had the honor of photographing Denise & Terry's wedding October 23, 2010. It was such a beautiful day for so late in October, which I loved because I got a lot of great shots outside the church of the couple & wedding party. I have known Denise for several years, and felt honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding. I enjoyed getting to know Terry more over the past summer, and how much these 2 shared in hobbies. I will never forget when I watched them both race in the same heat at a Figure 8 this summer, and he would keep looking back to make sure she was okay. They were Highschool sweethearts & have dated for about 7 years. Congratulations to the both of you! Thank you for letting me be a part of your big day! Draven's 16 Month Old Sneak Peak

I had the honor of photographing my nephew Draven again this Fall. It was different from all my other sessions with him, because Jess wanted to try doing some outdoor photographs. They also wanted a family photograph so we tried some outdoors, but weren't able to indoors due to Josh having a EMT call. It was defiantly a challenge with this little guy, he was all over the place and didn't want to sit still for a photograph. We let him play and run around while I just took the photographs that I could when I got the chance. I got quite a few good photographs of Draven outdoors before we decided to head inside and do some more in the studio. Draven did an excellent job indoors thanks to Scooby-snacks, and a little extra work. I always have a blast spending time with him, and especially photographing him as he keeps on growing!

Rose Children Sneak Peak

I had the pleasure of photographing the Rose children in Ames. I had a great time 1st photographing them in their Iowa State apparel and than traveled Downtown for some outdoor photographs. I had found a really neat little area down an alley. They were a little shy at first but quickly warmed up to me, as these 2 children had more energy than any other children I have photographed so it was defiantly an upbeat and fast photo shoot. I really enjoyed every moment of the photo shoot as you never know what faces children will make in front of a camera It has been a long time since both of them have had their pictures taken, so I'm very pleased with the images I got & knew it was important to capture who they are at this age. Thanks again Krista & Mike, I enjoyed spending the time with your beautiful family!

Sawyer's 9 Month Sneak Peak

I had the honor of photographing my cousin's 9 Month son. He has changed so much since the last time I saw him, but still looks like his daddy! Sawyer is on the move now which kept the session moving fast. It was a beautiful day, so I got to do some photographs outside, which was really fun and something different! I also photographed him again with his Teddy-Bear as I had previously to show how big he's gotten from each session! Sawyer did such a great job during the whole session; smiling, & making funny faces. I had a great time photographing him, and can't wait to keep photographing him as he grows! Halverson Family Sneak Peak

I had the honor of photographing the Halverson's Family Session in September. I knew Bethany when I was younger and I was reunited when I got a message about photographing her family. It was a pleasure to meet her husband and two beautiful children who could make anyone laugh. We went to Ledges State Park in Boone, IA and just kind of walked around. I really enjoyed the shelter house we found at the end of our time, due to the sun setting quickly. They are a beautiful family and amazing people! Thank you again for letting me photograph your family! Check out my facebook page j.lea photography for more images from this session.

Jared & Hilary's Engagment Sneak Peak

Congratulations Jared & Hilary! I had a great time photographing this young couples engagement session. I'm glad they decided to bring their dog along for a couple photographs; although he had a short attention span. I am so glad I had the honor of photographing them and can't wait to photograph their wedding June 2011!

Bret's Senior Session Sneak Peak

I really enjoyed traveling back to Waterloo & Cedar Falls to photograph Bret's Senior Session. I had never met him, but had worked with his mom while I attended Hawkeye college for 2 years.
It was defiantly a very warm afternoon, but Bret was awesome and well prepared with a towel to wipe off his forehead.
Bret was very easy to photograph and was up for anything that I suggested! We went around downtown Cedar Falls, and alleys which made for some really neat locations. I had a great time getting to know him and learn about his love for soccer. He has some amazing skills that I got to witness! Bret plans to attend UNI and possibly major in business. Thanks Bret for letting me be a part of your senior year & congratulations!
